Little jar full of jam, give me the promise that you owe me
you promised me your handkerchief
that i shall embroider in gold.

At every corner i shall put a flower,
and in the middle, as a signal, i shall put my heart.
our love shall be forgotten when christmas comes in june.

Little rose of thousand colours
give me what you promised me
you promised me a white handkerchief
that you shall embroider in gold and silver

At every corner you shall put a flower
and in the middle, as a signal, you shall put your heart.
our love will be divided
when the water of the see will dry up
